The Nike Air 1/2 Cent is a mashup of five sneakers worn by Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway including the Air Penny, Air Penny II, Air Penny III, Air Penny IV, and of course the Air Foamposite.
Like Jordan Brand paid tribute to Spike Lee, Nike pays tribute to Penny’s sidekick Li’l Penny with the name “1/2 Cent” (his jersey number) as well as his face on the heel of the shoe.
The Nike 1/2 Cent will debut in March in a limited release in Black/Royal as well as an all black colorup for a price of $190.
